Welfare Mission STEPS

STEPS is the 'Systematic, Training Engagement Placement Services' for development workers, pastors, mentors, chaperones, and teachers across places.We also provide Empowerment through Career Development, Sustainable Job Creation and Economic Strengthening in high-demand skills for LIVELIHOOD namely: Manufacturing - soap, Glue, Bleach, Shampoo, Fruit, cream, etc; Agriculture - Snail farming, Rabbit / Hares, poultry, fishery, Grass cutter, piggery, mushroom growing, cassava and vegetables production; Food Processing - Soya beans, vegetables, fruits, seeds, tubers, Cake Making, Egg / Fish Roll, meat pie, buns, doughnuts, etc; Catering / Decoration - Indoor/Outdoor Decoration, Event Management; Fashion Design /Beautification: Tailoring, beads/hats making, hair-dressing/barbing, leather works, etc.

There is also Children's Transitory Training Scheme for ‘Independent Life Coaching’opportunity for young children againg-out of orphanage care to build self-reliance skills and responsibilities to live independently when exiting child support at 18 years.The children at-risk learn budgeting techniques - comparative shopping, on-line payments, coordinated savings, investment, preparing job applications with resume, job interviews, time management (school, occupation, home), general discipline, and interpersonal relationships.

Farmer Florence Pious Ejiemere (32) from Onne, Eleme displaying oyster mushroom produced from her farm as the first in history of Eleme people through TRUSTAFRICA funded training facilitated by LUTHER WELFARE FOR CHILDREN AT-RISK DEVELOPMENT CENTRE. Thinking Equality, building Smart, and Innovation through 'Promoting Alternative Livelihoods for Sustainable Agriculture and Economic Empowerment', Farmer Florence featured Products Exhibition - March 6; Significant Guest on "TOUCHING LIVES" at Garden City Radio, 89.9 FM Port Harcourt - March 7; and stands with TRUSTAFRICA for 'International Day of Women' - March 8, 2018.
